The area(s) will first be numbed with an anesthetic agent if necessary. Your provider will discuss which method of removal is best for you, with cosmesis and your comfort in mind.

Proper aftercare is vital for optimized healing. It is usually recommended to apply Vaseline or Aquaphor in the following days. Instructions will be provided on how to monitor for signs of infection, although this is rare.

It is important to remember that it is not uncommon to have more skin tags than can reasonably be removed in one visit. You may be asked to schedule another appointment for additional removals if there are >15 skin tags for your safety and comfort.
