Dr. Megan Trainor is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon at Revelus Dermatology. She specializes in skin cancer diagnosis, Mohs micrographic surgery, and reconstructive dermatologic surgery.
An Austin native, Dr. Trainor grew up in the area and attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal School before earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she spent two years teaching in low-income elementary schools in Houston through Teach for America.
Dr. Trainor earned her medical degree with honors from Baylor College of Medicine and returned to Austin for her internship and dermatology residency at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident. She then completed her fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York, one of the most respected Mohs surgery training programs in the country.
Her training provides her with expertise in treating complex skin cancers, including those in cosmetically and functionally sensitive areas such as the face, ears, nose, and hands. Dr. Trainor combines surgical precision with a focus on achieving the best possible cosmetic outcome for every patient.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Trainor lives in Austin with her husband and daughter. She enjoys cycling (with proper sun protection), hiking, and uphill skiing.
