The frequency of evaluations depends on the severity of your hair loss and how well it responds to treatment. Your dermatologist will suggest a follow-up schedule. Most follow-ups fall within every 3 to 6 months.  

Expect a thorough examination of your hair loss prone skin, a discussion about your medical history, and questions about your lifestyle and skincare habits. The provider will also talk about potential treatment options.
