our story
Revelus Dermatology began as Westgate Skin & Cancer in 2014, founded by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Blakely Richardson. In 2021, we became the first practice in Austin to adopt the CoolSculpting Elite system. As the practice grew, we adopted the Revelus name in 2023 to better reflect the full range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care we provide.
Our name has changed and we’ve moved to our current office at 4401 West Gate Blvd, but we remain the same independently owned Austin practice, committed to thoughtful, evidence-based care.
Our team includes board-certified dermatologists, a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, a physician assistant, and a licensed aesthetician. Together, they provide medical, surgical, and cosmetic care with a personalized, evidence-based approach.

Medical Dermatology: Diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss, and skin cancer.
Surgical Dermatology: In-office procedures including skin biopsies, surgical excisions, cyst and lipoma removal, skin cancer removal, and Mohs surgery.
Cosmetic Dermatology: Personalized treatment plans that may include injectables, laser treatments, microneedling, body contouring, and aesthetician services.
Virtual Dermatology: Secure teledermatology visits for select concerns, follow-ups, medication management, and ongoing care.
Professional Skincare: A curated selection of dermatologist-recommended products, available in our office or online through Dermly, to support in-office treatments and long-term skin health.
